Story of a piedmontese home

La vita è bella

The discovery of a Piedmontese home

Relais Conac 1888 was born when a young couple of Balkan origins, madly in love with Italy and its dolce vita, were looking for a home to their liking, one firmly rooted in the Piedmont region. After viewing numerous properties, they came across this one, then in a state of neglect. It needed to be intimate and secluded, yet also easy to access the region’s cultural riches. Captivated by the high walls that afforded privacy, yet also by the greenery they sought, this property offered the comforts of the city with the beauty of the countryside.

A project born from the love for the Dolce Vita

The couple’s love affair with the dolce vita began at the turn of the century, but it was only after purchasing it that they envisioned it not only as a family gathering place, but also as a way to breathe new life into this ancient residence, once at times noble, and open its doors to the general public, as a family-run Luxury B&B – Adults Only.

The agricultural roots of the Estate

For decades, it was used for agricultural activities and inhabited by farmers who worked the land on which today stands the majestic garden that reigns supreme in the heart of the city. Conceived as an ode to Italian culture, Relais Conac 1888 celebrates the past, present, and future of this magnificent land.

Eight years of restoration and rebirth

The owners, in their spare time, have been busy renovating and restoring the property to become the place we all know today, and it’s not over yet. Relais Conac 1888 continues to grow, with three exclusive suites today and six to come, and their vision of well-being will be framed by the future Wellness Spa area.

Original character and contemporary comfort

Together with local artisans, they have peeled back the layers of time to reveal the estate’s original character, from the old bricks that almost whisper of life past, to the exteriors where the old courtyard recounts a bygone era. Blending these discoveries with their unique sensibility for contemporary comfort, they have created a perfect balance between modernity and a retro atmosphere, a philosophy of warm and discreet hospitality, designed for those seeking a deep connection with the land, an escape from the hustle and bustle, and a return to the essentials.

Ramona and Claudio's home

Relais Conac 1888 is Ramona and Claudio’s home. Its rural heritage is preserved, and the gardens thrive thanks to their loving care. This is what makes the place so magical, ideal for connecting with nature and, above all, with oneself.

A dream come true to share

This is a dream come true in so many ways. Today, they are able to share that love of life, food, wine, and Piedmont with everyone who visits their Relais.

A refuge from everyday life that you may call home

Ramona says:

“Relais Conac 1888 is too special to remain hidden, it’s a place worth sharing, a refuge in Italy that we hope you will soon call your home in Piedmont too.”
